The Forty Acres Fest, organized by Campus Events and Entertainment, is a music festival that has brought joy and live music to UT Austin students for the past three decades. For several years, URHA has hosted one of its most popular events: the Hot Dog Eating Contest. This contest invites students representing all 15 residence halls to compete against each other to win prizes - this year, our first-place winner ate 7.5 hot dogs and won a Longhorn Yeti!

PIE EATING CONTEST
This year, 2023 - 2024 Vice President of Marketing and Outreach, Gillian Knowles, wanted to up the ante and organized an additional competition (and soon-to-be tradition) in the form of a pie-eating contest. Several students lined up to eat a pie of their choosing as fast as they could for several prizes, including various Longhorn plushies. We're happy to report that this new initiative was a success and that we plan on bringing both contests back in spring 2025!
